Cloudflare released a new open-source version of Cloudflare OS that organizations can deploy in their own accounts, after first rolling the platform out internally to thousands of employees in May.
The redesign addresses problems in the first version—static apps, repeated token-heavy tasks and collaboration risks—by rebuilding the platform around company-specific context, live apps and built-in security.
Three core pieces anchor the system: browser-based agent workspaces, a security and governance layer, and full-stack personal apps that can be built, shared and modified by non-developers.
Gatekeepers and Cloudflare Access start agents with zero permissions, keep credentials isolated, log which resources an agent has seen and enforce sharing rules so outputs cannot expose data users lack permission to view.
Cloudflare said the software is available now on GitHub, with separate core and deployment repositories, while a managed dashboard product, Slack integrations and development containers are still in the works.
