Tesla Launches 325-Mile Model Y L, Reviving 3-Row EV Option at $63,630

Tesla will bring the long-wheelbase Model Y L to the U.S. this fall in Premium trim, giving buyers a six-seat, three-row EV after the Model X was dropped.
The Model Y L pairs dual-motor AWD with 496 horsepower, a 325-mile range on 19-inch wheels and 4.4-second 0-60 mph acceleration, while adding an 83-kWh battery and up to 164 miles of charge in 15 minutes.
7.0 inches of extra length—5.9 inches in the wheelbase—creates more usable rear space, including 3.5 inches more third-row headroom and 5.2 inches more rear legroom than the standard Model Y.
Launch Series pricing starts at $63,630 and includes a year of Full Self-Driving (Supervised), premium connectivity and free Supercharging, plus vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-home capability previously limited among Teslas to the Cybertruck.
The new model broadens Tesla's family-vehicle lineup, though third-row access remains tight because the second-row captain's chairs neither fold nor slide.
