iPhone 17 Pro Costs €2,222 in Turkey and €961 in Japan Across 41 Markets

Deutsche Bank’s 2026 price survey puts the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro at €2,222 in Turkey—the highest of 41 markets—and €961 in Japan, the lowest; the US price is €1,012 and South Korea matches it.
Taxes, tariffs and currency weakness drive much of the gap: Turkey is 119% above the US price, and buyers who import a phone still face a 54,258 TL (€1,006) IMEI registration fee.
Europe dominates the expensive end of the ranking, with Switzerland the region’s cheapest at €1,187 and Hungary second-highest in Europe at €1,565; among the five largest European economies, the UK is lowest at €1,265 and Italy highest at €1,332.
Compared with the iPhone 7 in 2017, the Europe-US price gap has widened over the past decade, with the biggest jumps in Turkey and Brazil and notable increases in Norway, Sweden, Finland and the UK.
The report says nominal prices understate the divide because income levels vary sharply, making affordability far worse in lower-wage markets such as Turkey than in richer ones like Switzerland.
