Summary
Zelenskyy said Ukrainian intelligence indicates Russia is preparing a new large-scale strike on Tuesday, aimed mainly at Ukraine’s energy grid and logistics network.
The warning tied the timing to U.S. midterm elections, with Zelenskyy saying Moscow expects global attention to shift while Ukraine still faces shortages in air defense and Patriot interceptors.
26 people were killed in Komyshuvakha after a Russian strike hit a school used for humanitarian aid distribution, underscoring the pressure on civilians as more attacks are feared.
Ukraine is pressing Washington for tougher economic pressure on Moscow and faster air-defense support; the State Department has approved a potential $2.1 billion sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 missiles.
The alert comes as Kyiv also accused Russian forces of exploiting a six-day humanitarian ceasefire in Oleshky to rotate troops and strengthen battlefield positions.
