Apple Sets iPhone Duo Repair at $49 for Cover Layer and $229 for Battery

Summary
$49 buys a replacement cover layer for the iPhone Duo without AppleCare+, while a battery swap costs $229 under Apple's newly posted repair schedule.
Kate Bergeron said the nano-texture cover layer over the inner display can be removed and replaced, making it one of the few specifically itemized Duo parts.
AppleCare+ cuts the cover-layer fee to $19; broader Duo repairs still run far higher, including $999 for inner-display damage and up to $1,499 for other damage.
The pricing lands just before iPhone Duo preorders open on October 16 and reinforces Apple's push toward AppleCare+ for its $1,999 foldable.
