Probably not—at least there is no evidence yet that the new Ocarina of Time amiibo are carrying hidden clues for the live-action Zelda film. What Nintendo has officially announced is straightforward: Young Zelda and Young Link amiibo are coming in 2027, after the Switch 2 release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nov. 5, 2026. Their stated function is to unlock special in-game masks styled after the original Nintendo 64 visuals, plus standard amiibo bonuses in other compatible Switch and Switch 2 titles. Nintendo’s product pages and social posts do not mention the film. The timing is what is fueling speculation. These amiibo are part of a much larger Zelda 40th anniversary rollout that stretches into 2027 and also includes the live-action film, set for April 30, 2027, along with concerts, LEGO, Hasbro products and a special Switch 2 system. That makes the amiibo look more like coordinated anniversary merchandising than confirmed movie teases. There is one detail fans may reasonably watch: Nintendo chose “young” versions of Link and Zelda specifically from Ocarina of Time, and both figures arrive in the same broad year as the film. If Nintendo later dates them close to the movie or reveals packaging, app tie-ins or crossover branding, that could strengthen the theory. For now, the safer reading is that these amiibo support the Ocarina of Time remake and Nintendo’s 40th anniversary campaign, not that they are secretly previewing the film.

A Young Zelda amiibo tied to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch 2 is slated for release in 2027, with the listing showing 12/31/27 as a placeholder date.
