Clancy Lawyer Seeks Deal After 11-1 Mistrial, Plans Reconsideration Motion

Kevin Reddington said he wants an agreement with Plymouth County prosecutors after Lindsay Clancy’s trial ended in a mistrial, and plans a motion asking the court to reconsider that outcome.
An 11-1 jury split drove the deadlock after weeks of testimony, with Reddington blaming a lone holdout juror for refusing to apply the reasonable-doubt standard.
The case turned on whether Clancy intentionally and premeditatedly killed her three children in January 2023 or was in postpartum psychosis when she did so.
Reddington also urged President Donald Trump to pardon Clancy on ABC, though pardon power over her state charges rests with Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey.
A hearing later this month could test the mistrial challenge while prosecutors decide whether to pursue a deal or retry the case.
