Urdhvam Environmental Technologies took the inaugural Category Creator Award at the One of a Kind Awards ceremony held on Aug. 21 at Novotel, Bengaluru.
Its BoreCharger system was recognized for tackling groundwater depletion by combining groundwater mapping, IoT and robotics to recharge depleted borewells; the company says it can lift rainwater recharge 4 to 20 times.
Praan Health and Rymo Technologies were named first and second runners-up for chronic-care management and portable rehabilitation technology, respectively.
The 2026 awards targeted early-stage internet-first startups showing market relevance before broad recognition, with applications open from April 13 to May 31 and finalists judged after a June 30 jury presentation.
Winners also receive national exposure through Economic Times and Cashfree platforms, plus Cashfree Payments credits and access to investor and founder networks.
