Apple Watch Series 12 Seen Gaining New Chip and 24-Hour Battery Boost

Apple is expected to unveil the Watch Series 12 next month with its first meaningfully new chip in years, plus battery and health upgrades rather than a redesign.
Three generations have effectively reused the same watch silicon, and leaked internal code points to a new S11 or S12 chip as Apple keeps the 2024 case design for a third straight year.
Battery life is a priority, according to a known Weibo leaker, with Apple reportedly pursuing a larger battery and efficiency gains beyond the Series 11's rated 24 hours, or 38 in Low Power Mode.
Health additions may include a blood-pressure notification feature awaiting FDA clearance, while reports of Touch ID or band-embedded sensors remain weakly supported and are viewed as unlikely.
The lineup could also bring back a ceramic case after a 6-year absence, alongside new colors and bands, as Apple is also expected to show an Ultra 4 and no new Watch SE.
