The integration still runs through Bolt’s own app and systems: users need a Bolt-specific ChatGPT plugin, while booking execution and payment processing remain on Bolt’s platform.
Bolt said the current setup is aimed at reducing waiting times by helping riders identify the most convenient pickup location before a driver arrives.
The company plans a deeper step later by enabling users to pay for rides directly inside ChatGPT, extending OpenAI’s role beyond trip search and booking assistance.
