Summary
TechRadar called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra the best foldable phone overall, saying Samsung’s latest upgrades make it “virtually unbeatable” despite a premium price.
A flatter 4.1mm unfolded design, an almost invisible crease, and new titanium panel engineering drove much of that verdict, while the phone also adds a larger 5,000mAh battery and a stronger 50MP ultra-wide camera.
The review said the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy delivers top-tier performance, with all-day battery life reaching about 12.5 hours in regular use and 14 hours in lab tests.
At $2,099.99 in the U.S. — $100 above the prior model — the Ultra was still framed as solid value because it functions as both a phone and an 8-inch tablet.
Weak points remained limited: the camera bump keeps the device from lying flat, the telephoto stays at 10MP with 3x optical zoom, and Samsung still omits the S Pen digitizing layer.
