Summary
August 6 marks the start of Gears of War: E-Day’s early-access multiplayer beta for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass subscribers and players who pre-ordered on Xbox Series X|S or Steam.
Player feedback changed the plan: 4v4 Versus PvP will now be available during the early-access window, not only in the later open beta.
The test runs from 12:00 pm PT on August 6 to 10:00 am PT on August 10 and also includes Siege Horde, a 12-player PvE mode built around waves, objectives and boss fights.
Xbox is using the beta as the main draw in its first-half August Game Pass lineup, which also includes titles such as PowerWash Simulator 2 and Grounded 2.
The beta is part of the buildup to Gears of War: E-Day’s full launch on October 6, when it arrives on Xbox Series X|S, PC and Game Pass on day one.
