3.08 million people visited Las Vegas in June, down 0.5% from a year earlier, even as convention attendance climbed 25.8% to 471,100 and kept first-half visitation essentially flat.
June room demand stayed soft outside conventions: average daily rates fell 4.4% to $156.32 and occupancy slipped 0.4 percentage points to 78.3%, while California border traffic rose 5.2% and Arizona traffic fell 5.7%.
19.6 million visitors came in the first half, up 0.2%, with hotel occupancy unchanged at 82%; convention attendance reached 3.6 million, putting 2026 on pace to challenge the 2017 record of 6.6 million.
Nevada casinos also ended fiscal 2025-26 slightly higher, with statewide gaming win up 2.6% to $16.047 billion despite a flat June; analysts said baccarat may have been hurt by World Cup distractions.
