For most buyers, the Galaxy Z Flip8 offers the best real-world value before the UK pre-order window closes. The reason is the balance between price, features and discounts. It starts far below the Z Fold models, but still gets Samsung’s top Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip, a 4.1-inch FlexWindow, 50MP camera, 12GB RAM, improved cover-screen app support and the same six months of Google AI Pro. Its pre-order stack is also strong: up to £553 trade-in, £100 off with code Z8 and £50 off via PayPal. That makes it the easiest premium Galaxy foldable to justify for mainstream buyers. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is the better value pick for shoppers who specifically want a book-style foldable. At roughly £1,699 in UK pricing reports, it undercuts the Fold8 Ultra by about £200 while still offering the same flagship processor, a lighter 201g body, thin 4.1mm design and a new wider 4:3-style screen that could suit reading, video and multitasking. But its weaker camera system makes the trade-off more noticeable at this price. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is only the best value for power users who will use its extras. It has the strongest hardware package, including the 200MP camera and larger 8-inch display, and it gets the biggest headline savings, but its much higher starting price keeps it from being the best value in real-world terms. Among wearables, the Galaxy Watch9 looks better value than the Ultra2 unless you truly need rugged outdoor and diving features.

August 7 marks the retail launch for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Flip8, Watch Ultra2 and Watch9, with pre-orders closing after three days.
Up to £752 off the Fold8 line and up to £553 off the Flip8 are available through trade-ins, alongside extra code discounts and limited-time PayPal savings before the August 6 cutoff.
Watch buyers can get £27 to £132 off with smartwatch trade-ins, plus additional discounts of up to £50 depending on model and payment method.
Samsung is also bundling six months of Google AI Pro worth £113 on the foldables and promoting its Trade-In Price Promise to ease switching ahead of the launch.
