Hatch on Tuesday unveiled the $249 Sleep Clock, a nightstand device that tracks sleep without wearables and delivers personalized advice instead of a single sleep score.
Motion sensors using ultra-low-power radio signals monitor bed entry, respiration, sleep stages and overnight movement, with the company emphasizing privacy-focused tracking and behaviors users can actually change.
Hatch said the device’s recommendations center on sleep hygiene and routine adjustments—such as bedtime timing, sound baths or nighttime podcasts—rather than raw data dashboards.
A 2020 Sleep Medicine study cited by Hatch found radar technology detected sleep-wake times more accurately than polysomnography, underscoring the company’s push for contactless monitoring in a market dominated by wearables.
