A Geekbench listing for model SM-X946B points to Samsung using MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 in the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, extending the chipmaker’s run in Samsung’s top Android tablet line.
The benchmark shows a 1+3+4 CPU layout with a 4.21GHz prime core, plus scores of 2,424 single-core and 8,446 multi-core—only a modest gain over the Tab S11 Ultra.
The tested unit carries 12GB of RAM, with a 16GB option also expected, while MediaTek’s appeal appears to be sustained performance, thermals and on-device AI rather than peak CPU speed.
Most other hardware may stay unchanged, including the 14.6-inch AMOLED display, 11,600mAh battery, 45W charging and a 13MP main camera setup.
Samsung has confirmed the Tab S12 series for later this year, with reports pointing to a September launch and possible price pressure from rising memory and component costs.
