Summary
Late-September launch windows are being tipped for Oppo’s Find X10 series, Vivo’s X500 series and Xiaomi’s 18 lineup, with Xiaomi also expected to hold a separate foldable event earlier in September.
MediaTek’s 2nm Dimensity 9600 is reportedly due by mid-September, potentially letting Oppo and Vivo unveil Pro models before Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 event on Sept. 22.
Xiaomi’s first September event is expected to center on a foldable—possibly called the Xiaomi 18 Fold or Mix Fold 5—that would use its in-house Xring O3 chip rather than Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor.
That timing would put Xiaomi’s foldable up against Apple’s expected iPhone Ultra or first foldable launch in early September, while the Xiaomi 18 series would follow around the Snapdragon Summit or just after.
The schedule would mark a broader push by Chinese brands to bring flagship launches forward, after Vivo and Oppo accelerated global rollouts last year and Xiaomi delayed its last global flagship debut until February 2026.
