Turkish Exporters Set 3 July Records as Shipments Reach $25.6 Billion

$25.6 billion in July exports gave Turkish exporters their highest-ever July shipments, while annualized goods exports hit a record $278.6 billion and goods-plus-services sales topped $401 billion.
Imports rose 5.2% to nearly $33 billion, widening the monthly trade deficit 14% to $7.37 billion and pushing the export-to-import coverage ratio down 1.7 points to 77.7%.
In the first seven months, exports increased 3.4% to $161.6 billion against a 4.7% rise in imports to $222.1 billion, lifting the trade gap 8.2% to $60.5 billion.
Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said the deficit remains under control despite regional wars and higher freight and energy costs, though he said the euro-dollar rate alone cost exporters about $300 million in July.
Germany remained Türkiye's top July export market at $2 billion, ahead of the U.S. at $1.7 billion and the U.K. at $1.3 billion.
