Summary
Friday deliveries began in Australia and New Zealand for Apple’s new touchscreen PROLED MacBook Pro, OLED iPad mini, M6 MacBook Pro and M6 iMac, making those markets the first to put the devices in customers’ hands.
The flagship 14-inch PROLED MacBook Pro starts at $2,899 and marks Apple’s first touchscreen OLED Mac, adding a thinner, lighter design, a restored glowing Apple logo and a Dynamic Island in place of the notch.
Apple’s 8-inch-class OLED iPad mini starts at $699, uses the A20 Pro chip and becomes the first iPad with an IP67 rating after dropping speaker holes for an Acoustic Display design.
The standard 14-inch M6 MacBook Pro starts at $1,999 and the 24-inch M6 iMac at $1,499, with both receiving relatively minor updates beyond the new chip.
Australia is also the first place for in-store purchases, though online PROLED MacBook Pro orders are already pushed to late November or early December; launches roll next through Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
