Summary
Paris Jackson asked a Los Angeles court to move $600 million from Michael Jackson’s estate into the family trust, saying the trust still has not been funded more than 17 years after his death.
New court filings accuse sole executor John Branca of retaliating after she challenged estate management, including cutting multimillion-dollar payments to her and her siblings while keeping an “iron grip” over the inheritance.
Paris also challenged more than $604,000 in card charges and reimbursements, $9.4 million in executor pay, $1.4 million to Branca’s law firm, about $835,000 in PR costs, and alleged misuse of private jets and gifts.
The estate rejected the claims as fabricated, saying it turned a $500 million debt into $3 billion in revenue, already distributed more than $200 million to beneficiaries, and still faces unresolved IRS litigation once pegged at $700 million.
Paris’ filings say the estate had over $2.5 billion in gross earnings and about $850 million in cash by December 2024; a hearing on the $600 million trust request is set for Dec. 4.
