Justin Boone Publishes Week 9 Full-PPR RB Rankings, Updating Through Sunday

Q: Which unexpected sleeper from Justin Boone's Week 9 fantasy rankings could completely save your roster from bye-week disaster?

Mike Washington Jr. looks like the most unexpected sleeper in Justin Boone’s Week 9 landscape who could rescue a bye-week-thinned roster. The case is straightforward: Washington came out of nowhere in Week 8 to lead the Raiders’ backfield with 25 carries while Ashton Jeanty handled only two rushing attempts. Boone’s related waiver analysis treated that shift as meaningful, not a fluke, noting that Washington appears to be earning the early-down role and should be added aggressively. In the broader Week 9 fantasy discussion tied to Boone’s rankings, he is viewed as a borderline RB2. That matters in a week when fantasy managers are juggling injuries, streaming decisions and two bye teams, the Steelers and Titans. Running backs with sudden volume are often the fastest way to patch a lineup, and Washington’s workload gives him a clearer path to usable touches than many deeper sleepers. Jonah Coleman is another strong Boone-backed option and may be the safer RB2 target in a favorable matchup, but he is less of a true “unexpected” sleeper because his role was already rising. Washington is the more surprising name with league-saving upside if the Raiders stick with him. If you need help elsewhere, Sam Darnold stands out as Boone’s preferred quarterback streamer, and Antonio Williams or DeMario Douglas offer deeper receiver help. But for pure roster triage, Washington is the sleeper most likely to stabilize a Week 9 lineup.
