Summary
Apple detailed new macOS 27 Golden Gate changes for its first touch-screen MacBook Pro, including larger window controls, bigger context-menu targets and touch-friendly app buttons.
On-screen gestures now mirror trackpad actions—three-finger swipes for Mission Control and Spaces, pinch to zoom, scrolling—and Spotlight can be opened from the Dynamic Island.
Developers also gain full touch navigation in the iOS simulator, removing the need to mimic taps and gestures through the trackpad.
macOS 27 already adds pull-to-refresh in Safari and wider menu-bar spacing across Macs, and Apple said more touch optimizations are planned for future releases.
