Summary
OPPO is testing the Find X10 Ultra with MediaTek’s 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro and custom imaging algorithms tied to its Lumo True Image Engine, signaling a possible break from Qualcomm in its top camera phone.
Smart Pikachu said a Snapdragon version remains in development and is currently more likely to ship, with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 still holding the edge.
The Dimensity 9600 Pro uses two C2-Ultra cores at up to 4.55GHz plus six performance cores, and OPPO has already confirmed the chip for the Find X10 Pro Max.
Leaks point to a camera-heavy Ultra strategy: a 200MP main sensor, a second 200MP periscope, a 50MP 10x periscope lens and a 100MP front camera.
If OPPO adopts MediaTek, the Ultra and Pro Max could share the same flagship SoC, leaving camera hardware and image processing to justify the Ultra’s higher positioning ahead of a first-half 2027 China launch.
