Summary
Four people were killed and dozens wounded after Russia fired 21 ballistic missiles at Kyiv in three overnight waves, striking apartment buildings, energy facilities, a railway station and the subway.
Twelve Ukrainian regions were hit, with two women killed in a market strike in Lozova and another death reported elsewhere in Kharkiv, as Zelenskyy said Russia is exploiting shortages in Patriot air-defense ammunition.
The barrage came hours after Putin agreed in principle to resume U.S.-Ukraine-Russia peace talks, though no date was set and Zelenskyy said the attacks showed Moscow was taking no real steps toward ending the war.
Since Oct. 11, Russia has launched 170 strikes on Ukraine's critical energy infrastructure, reinforcing Kyiv's warning that Moscow is again trying to "weaponize winter."
Russia said it intercepted 808 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 630 aimed at Moscow, while airports briefly restricted traffic and both sides also exchanged soldiers' bodies.
