Summary
iOS 27.2, due next week, extends Apple Music’s redesign with a black-and-white app icon, blue active-tab accents, monochrome Library sections and black widgets.
Apple Books gets a reading-focused interface refresh: progress bars, a standard Liquid Glass menu, a standalone top-right bookmark button, and relocated close and back controls.
The Books changes appear tied to the iPhone Duo, whose form factor favors Apple’s adaptive system controls over bespoke buttons that may not reposition well across models.
October 26 is expected to bring iOS 27.2 alongside other Apple OS updates, with the iPhone release also adding Group FaceTime Dual Capture, TV app profiles and a Podcasts overhaul.
