Samsung is considering 8GB RAM versions of the Galaxy S27 and S27+ alongside 12GB models, a shift from earlier leaks that pointed to unchanged memory options.
Rising memory and storage costs — driven by component shortages — are pushing Samsung to use lower-RAM variants to keep entry prices down while potentially charging more for 12GB versions.
The company is also said to be mixing UFS storage versions across the S27 lineup, which could leave some models with faster storage speeds than others.
At the high end, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is still tipped to get a 1TB option, but that version could cost more, and Samsung may trim storage upgrade promotions and other launch perks.
The latest leak follows a report that S27 Pro and Ultra specifications were still unsettled, with a February 2027 launch under consideration for those models.
