Apple Reveals iPhone Duo’s 4,883 mAh Battery via EU Label

Q: How will the iPhone Duo's dual screens impact the actual daily performance of its newly revealed 4,883 mAh battery?

The iPhone Duo’s 4,883 mAh battery should deliver solid all-day use, but its dual-screen design means real-world endurance will vary sharply depending on which screen is active and for how long. On paper, the battery sits between the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in size, but a foldable’s larger inner display is the key variable. Apple’s own figures show that clearly: up to 44 hours of video playback on the 5.4-inch outer screen falls to 31 hours on the 7.6-inch inner screen. That gap suggests the inner display is the main battery drain, not the folding mechanism itself. In daily use, that means the Duo should perform best when used like a normal phone most of the time, with the outer screen handling calls, messages and quick tasks. Users who spend long periods unfolded for video, gaming, multitasking, navigation or high-brightness outdoor use should expect noticeably faster drain. Foldables typically avoid running both screens fully at once, which helps, but the larger panel still consumes more power because it lights more area and usually carries a heavier workload. Apple says the phone can still reach up to 24 hours of “typical use,” roughly in line with the iPhone 18 Pro, helped by the A20 Pro chip, C2 modem, adaptive display management and the eSIM-only design that freed up internal space for battery. In practice, the Duo’s battery looks competitive for a book-style foldable, but users leaning heavily on the inner display should not expect Pro Max-level stamina.

Apple’s newly published EU energy label shows the iPhone Duo carries a total 4,883 mAh battery.
The filing appears to confirm an earlier leak that split the pack into two cells—2,962 mAh and 1,921 mAh—adding up to the same total.
Because the iPhone Duo is eSIM-only, that battery figure should apply globally, with no physical-SIM variant expected to use a slightly smaller pack.
For context, the eSIM-only iPhone 18 Pro has a 4,288 mAh battery and the iPhone 18 Pro Max has 5,567 mAh, based on iFixit teardowns.
