UFC Edmonton Pits Mike Malott Against No. 14 Joaquin Buckley in 25-Minute Main Event

3 articles · Updated · MMA Fighting · Oct 17

Saturday’s UFC Edmonton card centers on Mike Malott’s latest step up, with the Canadian welterweight facing No. 14 Joaquin Buckley over five rounds at Rogers Place.
Four straight wins since Malott’s loss to Neil Magny have rebuilt his momentum, but the preview flags Buckley’s takedown defense and Malott’s five-round stamina as the key tests.
Erin Blanchfield and Jasmine Jasudavicius meet in the co-main event with a flyweight title shot potentially at stake, depending on Valentina Shevchenko’s return timeline and Natalia Silva’s next defense.
The card begins with a seven-fight preliminary slate at 5 p.m. ET and a six-fight main card at 8 p.m. ET, both streaming on Paramount+.
