Summary
One UI 9 is now reaching supported Galaxy phones and tablets in some markets, spanning the S26, S25, S24, Z Fold/Flip 7 and 6 lines, plus the Galaxy A57.
Android 17 on Samsung adds iterative upgrades rather than a redesign, including AI privacy alerts, broader Now Nudge support, My FanCam auto-cropping, deeper Quick Panel customization and Samsung DeX improvements.
Security and device-management changes are a major focus: Settings now shows warranty and Samsung Care status, location access gets a blue on-screen indicator, and users can quickly disable biometric unlock.
Samsung still has not published a full rollout timetable, and availability remains uneven, with several models marked limited while the Galaxy S25 series is expanding more widely.
