Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X80 modem and SDR875 RF transceiver also appeared on the RF board, reinforcing earlier findings that at least the U.S. Pro Max uses Qualcomm hardware despite Apple promoting its C2 modem for the iPhone 18 Pro platform.
The board analysis points to a broad supplier mix across Qualcomm, Broadcom, Qorvo, Skyworks, Texas Instruments, STMicroelectronics, NXP, Renesas, Analog Devices and Apple/Cirrus Logic for RF, power, charging, audio and NFC functions.
TechInsights said deeper reverse engineering is still underway to determine the A20 Pro’s process and packaging, compare the N1 implementation with prior models, and map Apple’s broader modem and mmWave strategy across the iPhone 18 lineup.
