Summary
Monaco will stage a sprint for the first time in 2027, part of an expanded 10-race sprint slate that also adds first-time sprint weekends in Bahrain, Australia, Japan and Abu Dhabi.
F1 still plans to open in Bahrain on March 14 and Saudi Arabia on March 21 despite weeks of delay caused by US-Iran tensions, with Bahrain also set to host pre-season testing on Feb. 24-27.
Australia, Japan and China follow in April, but they also form F1's fallback opening sequence if Bahrain or Saudi Arabia cannot run; Australia is increasingly confident it could move forward despite pit and paddock construction.
The 24-race calendar also brings Portugal back at Portimao on June 20, restores Turkey in an Azerbaijan-Singapore triple-header, and leaves Las Vegas as a standalone before Qatar and Abu Dhabi close the season.
