Their break with Trump came in battleground districts where the war has become a liability: only about 3 in 10 adults approved of his Iran handling in a July AP-NORC poll, and roughly 6 in 10 likely voters told NYT/Siena the war was the wrong call.
Tuesday's 220-204 House vote was the third such rebuke of the war, with Nunn and Miller-Meeks joining a small bloc of Republican defectors even as the administration is expected to resist the measure.
