Google introduced Gemini 3.8 in two versions—Flash and Flash Cyber—aimed at small businesses that need stronger coding help and cybersecurity tools without enterprise-level costs.
At $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens, Gemini 3.8 Flash is positioned as a lower-cost model that still delivers gains in software engineering, reasoning and agentic workflow automation.
Flash Cyber, offered through Google’s Fairwind Program, targets vulnerability detection and automated patching for smaller firms that often lack dedicated IT or security teams.
Both models share the same core intelligence and use long-running agentic loops to refine outputs over time, though businesses may still face training needs and an adoption learning curve.
The release expands Google’s Gemini 3.8 lineup after its newer Live and Live Extended Thinking models, broadening the family from voice agents into coding and security use cases.
