California Diesel Hits Record $8.09 as Iran War Disrupts Global Fuel Flows

$8.09 a gallon marked a new California diesel record overnight, with the statewide average up more than 10 cents from Friday, according to AAA.
Iran war disruptions to global fuel flows are driving the spike, leaving California diesel nearly $3 a gallon above a year ago and well above the U.S. average of more than $6.
Regular gasoline is also climbing, averaging about $6 in Los Angeles and Orange counties and just under $6 in Riverside County.
Higher diesel costs are already feeding into delivery surcharges and could soon lift grocery prices, especially for meat and produce that rely on frequent trucking and farm equipment.
