Pink said she does not speak for Israel’s government, still views Hamas as a terrorist organization, and believes Palestinians deserve dignity, arguing innocent lives on all sides must come first.
Her sharpest criticism targeted Macklemore himself, linking his MetLife Stadium performance of “Hind’s Hall” and repeated “Free Palestine” chants to what she called a pattern that included a 2014 costume many Jews saw as antisemitic.
Macklemore had already defended the appearance, saying he joined Ed Sheeran’s tour partly to say “Free Palestine” before a large audience and that equal treatment for all humans should not be controversial.
The clash widened a backlash that began after Pink reposted a Stop Antisemitism video, turning a concert dispute into a broader argument over antisemitism, protest speech and safety at live shows.
