During his primetime keynote in Dallas, JD Vance stopped to confront a heckler waving Mexican and Palestinian flags and shouting from the GOP convention floor.
Vance told the protester, “If you love Mexico so much, get your a-- over there. I’ll buy you the plane ticket,” describing an interruption not shown on the official TV feed.
American Airlines Center attendees answered with “USA! USA! USA!” chants as security escorted the protester out.
The disruption came on day 2 of the Republican midterm convention, where the party is centering Donald Trump despite weak election forecasts and his negative approval ratings.
A day earlier, Trump had promised $5,000 to every American adult if Republicans keep control of Congress in November.
