On the show with teammate Cam Heyward, he said ESPN was "really scared" to let him discuss the issue on Pat McAfee's program because he would "speak my mind" and expose what he called hypocrisy.
Rodgers argued the relationship raised integrity questions because Russini held MVP and Coach of the Year votes and had reported NFL news, including a Morgan Moses item he said appeared a day early.
The criticism follows April photos of Russini and Vrabel at a Sedona resort; The Athletic said the relationship was "in clear violation" of standards, while Rodgers suggested ESPN's caution reflects the NFL's influence through its 10% stake in the network.
