Summary
Cosmos is out now as a free update on all platforms, adding player-run space stations, orbital base building and galactic alliances to No Man's Sky.
Hello Games says the release is the game's biggest overhaul in a decade, timed to mark the 10th anniversary of a title that has been repeatedly expanded since its troubled 2016 launch.
New content also includes trade-focused space outposts, salvageable space hulks, asteroid belts, milestone-themed Expeditions and an interactive star map for tracking systems and points of interest.
The update reaches into VR as well, with SteamVR support for eye-tracked dynamic foveated rendering following an earlier PlayStation VR2 rollout.
