Prosecutors said Walsh had become heavily focused on the Lindsay Clancy child-murder trial and was texting friends about it hours earlier; police said she later told officers she killed Barrett because he was the "devil" and the "anti-Christ."
A neighbor found Barrett hanging from a basement rafter and Walsh in a tub of bloody water with cuts to her wrists and thigh. An autopsy found Barrett died of asphyxia from ligature compression of the neck.
An infant and two school-aged children were also in or returning to the home but were unharmed, while Walsh's husband was out of state. Walsh remains in custody for medical treatment as police analyze her phone and continue the investigation.
