Nvidia Launches DLSS 5 for RTX 50-Series, but Only 1 Game Supports It

Summary
DLSS 5 goes live September 3 on RTX 50-series desktops, laptops and GeForce Now, with NBA 2K27 the only confirmed launch title.
Nvidia is narrowing the rollout after March backlash over demos that appeared to alter characters too aggressively; in new NBA 2K27 examples, the changes look more restrained and developer-tunable.
Support beyond that 1 game remains unclear: Nvidia did not say when DLSS 5 will reach other previously showcased titles such as Resident Evil Requiem, Starfield, Hogwarts Legacy or EA Sports FC.
Performance is still the main trade-off — Nvidia pegs the hit at 50% to 60% and says even an RTX 5060 needs 1080p, a top-end CPU and 6x frame generation for ultra settings.
