The launch targets Apple’s MacBook Neo during an AI-driven RAM shortage, with Samsung pitching a larger display, more ports, and up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage against Apple’s lower-spec options.
The new model carries a 14-inch 1920x1200 anti-glare LCD, Intel Core 3 or Core 5 chips, Wi-Fi 6E, a 61.2Wh battery rated for up to 25 hours, and 45W charging to 33% in 30 minutes.
Samsung’s tradeoff is price and AI power: the laptop is still $100 above the MacBook Neo, while its built-in NPU reaches 15 TOPS versus 35 TOPS on Apple’s A18 Pro.
Available in Gray and Violet Silver, the Galaxy Book 6 expands first in the US before rolling out to more countries, broadening Samsung’s push for a more affordable everyday PC.
