Summary
Portsmouth International Airport was breached shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday when 17-year-old Wyatt Seely allegedly drove a 2008 Ford Mustang through a perimeter fence, across the apron and into a parked plane and Kubota tractor.
New Hampshire State Police said the chase began after troopers sought a vehicle tied to reported crimes in other jurisdictions and tried to stop the Mustang on Durham Street, but the driver fled without headlights.
Seely was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for evaluation; authorities said he was intoxicated after the crash and that no one else was injured.
Police charged Seely with misdemeanor DWI, aggravated DWI, disobeying a police officer and conduct after an accident, plus a reckless-driving violation; he is due in Portsmouth District Court on Sept. 9, 2026.
Portsmouth police and fire, Newington police, and Pease fire and emergency services assisted in the response to the airport incursion.
