Seattle closed its preseason with a 9-9 tie at Kansas City after Jason Myers missed an extra point and a 52-yard field-goal try that could have won it.
Five missed kicks in 3 preseason games have turned Myers into a roster concern, even though Seattle otherwise did enough to beat a Chiefs side that used some first-string players.
Jalen Milroe provided the clearest positive sign, throwing for more than 200 yards and 1 touchdown while hitting explosive gains of 40, 30 and 24 yards.
Seattle still showed familiar flaws, managing just 54 rushing yards, allowing 155 on the ground and committing 90 penalty yards, though it avoided major injuries after last week's problems in Tennessee.
The result left the Seahawks winless at 0-3-1, but strong showings from younger players including Trevon Diggs and Nehemiah Pritchett offered some encouragement before the regular season.
