Samsung has begun pushing its August 2026 update in South Korea, and Korean users say it includes the long-awaited fix for the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s red screen or red stain problem.
The issue appeared at maximum brightness, often showing as a red band or wider strip across the display; Samsung had traced it to the S26 Ultra’s new Privacy Display software.
The patch also carries 7 critical and 30 high-severity security fixes, including protections against device inoperability, SIM-card access and Samsung Contacts vulnerabilities.
