Iran, Oman Advance Hormuz Control Plan as Tehran Claims Future Toll-Sharing Deal

Iran and Oman said this week they made fresh progress toward a permanent navigational corridor and eventual joint administration of the Strait of Hormuz, with Iran saying the talks also produced a future toll-revenue sharing agreement.
Oman described the outcome more cautiously, saying a temporary corridor and practical arrangements for safe navigation could be announced soon, while a joint statement pointed to a phased handover of policing responsibilities to the two states.
