Pico Delays Space Pro XR Headset to Q4 2026 as September 2 Launch Slips

Pico pushed back both the reveal and release of its Space Pro headset from a planned September 2 Beijing event to sometime in Q4 2026.
The ByteDance unit said the hardware and software were already highly complete, but final testing uncovered a chance to ship a major software upgrade in the initial release.
Pico will widen its Pioneer Experience Program and Global Early Access Program in the coming months, sending pre-production units and software to more outside testers.
Space Pro is positioned as Pico’s flagship Apple Vision Pro rival, with microOLED displays at 4,000 PPI, roughly 40 PPD, and a dual-chip design claiming about 12 ms perception latency.
