Freedom said on Fox News he was thrown out of Sunday’s Indiana Fever-Chicago Sky game after celebrating a Sophie Cunningham 3-pointer from his baseline seat.
Cloud then turned toward him and launched a profanity-filled tirade, Freedom said, including a personal insult and repeated F-bombs in front of nearby children.
Security escorted Freedom out late in the third quarter, while he argued Cloud should have been penalized instead for confronting him on the court.
Freedom said he attended to support Cunningham and wore a shirt defining “woman” as “adult human female,” tying the incident to the wider fight over gender policy in women’s sports.
