NFL Reviews Jed York After No-Contest Plea, $1,150 Fine in Ohio Case

Jed York pleaded no contest Monday to misdemeanor disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools after his Sunday arrest in East Palestine, Ohio, and paid $1,150 in fines after serving a one-day jail sentence.
The NFL said the matter will be reviewed under its personal conduct policy, which lets Commissioner Roger Goodell punish owners for conduct detrimental to the league even when criminal cases are effectively resolved.
Possible penalties range from fines to suspension; when Stephen Ross was disciplined in 2022, he was fined $1.5 million and barred from team facilities, league meetings and committees for 76 days.
Past owner cases show uneven outcomes: Goodell suspended Jim Irsay for six games in 2014, but did not punish Robert Kraft after 2019 solicitation charges were dropped.
