Summary
Moke was downgraded late Sunday to a tropical depression with 35 mph sustained winds, centered 380 miles southwest of Hilo and moving west at 13 mph south of the Hawaiian Islands.
A Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday afternoon for Hawaii Island because Moke’s northern rain bands could drop 3 to 6 inches on windward and southeast slopes, where ground is already saturated from Hurricane Lala.
East Maui could also receive 3 to 6 inches of rain, while the rest of the islands may see 1 to 2 inches as moisture is drawn northward from the system.
Forecasters expect breezy winds to ease Monday, with Moke degenerating into a remnant low Monday and dissipating Tuesday.
