Pixel 11 Launches With 48MP Camera Upgrade but Few Gains Over Pixel 10

Google’s Pixel 11 arrives as a largely iterative update, with the clearest hardware changes being a new 48-megapixel main camera sensor, faster base storage and a 6g weight drop to 197g.
Most core specs barely move: the screen stays at 3,000 nits, battery life and charging are effectively unchanged, and Tensor G6 delivers only modest real-world gains over the Pixel 10.
Software also offers limited separation, with Android 17 looking much the same aside from Rambler voice-to-text, camera “Looks,” Magic Capture and added Creator tools such as a teleprompter.
The camera upgrade should improve light capture by more than 50% and adds 30x zoom, but reviewers say the overall package still falls short of a meaningful generational leap.
For current Pixel 10 owners, the report’s bottom line is blunt: unless a trade-in makes the switch nearly free, Pixel 11 offers too little to justify an upgrade.
